A vintage movie poster of ''Cabin in the Cotton'', a 1932 American drama film directed by Michael Curtiz. This film is notable for its depiction of the American South during the early 20th century and its exploration of issues related to class, race, and agriculture.
The story is set in the rural South and follows the life of Marvin Blake (played by Richard Barthelmess), a young sharecropper's son who dreams of improving his social and economic status. Marvin becomes embroiled in the conflicts between the wealthy landowners, represented by Lane Norwood Sr. (played by Berton Churchill), and the struggling sharecroppers who work the land. As he navigates this complex social landscape, Marvin's loyalty and ambition are put to the test.
